2025 Purdue AI in P 12 Education Conference Welcome & Keynote: Kate Maxwell

The second annual Purdue AI in P-12 Education Conference, “Empowerment,” took place on Nov. 10, 2025, at Purdue University. Held by the College of Education, the conference focused on how AI can be leveraged to empower educational stakeholders, particularly teachers and their students. Presentations included resources and strategies to promote student learning and further teacher development. AI is a key focus of Purdue Computes, a strategic Purdue University initiative to further scale Purdue’s research and educational excellence. 2025 keynote speaker: Kate Maxwell, Interim CEO, TechPoint Youth Kate Maxwell is an accomplished engineering, technology, and industry leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting Public Sector customers around the globe. She holds two patents and has been recognized with multiple prestigious industry awards, including being named the #1 Woman in Tech by Technology Magazine in 2023. Currently, Kate serves as the Interim CEO for TechPoint Youth, a non-profit organization equipping Indiana’s underserved K-12 students with hands-on STEM experiences and learning opportunities.
