It took me more than 10 years to make this video properly, but I'm glad I finally found the right person to make this video with. We have guest cohost Nadia, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt, to join us in this critique of these "Lady of America" Fitness videos. These self defense videos show very, very questionable self defense techniques, and I've wanted to explore them in-depth for many years. The teacher in question, going by the name Brian Fury, seems to have misunderstood certain basics about leverage and grappling (and situations that would warrant using force). This is hopefully the definitive video on these set of videos that emerged in 2011.
