My stick taping routine has evolved and refined over 15+ years of playing the game. If you are a beginner goalie this is a great place to start and develop consistency in your tape job. https://linktr.ee/lasher75 for insta, coaching, store and more! For me the main thing is consistency on my paddle and end grips so when I play the puck I have the same resistance and feeling dripping the stick. Also having a nice big butt-end so I don't lose my stick if I fire out a poke check or have to quickly play the puck. As you will see it's important having the tape on my sticks the same, you don't want to have to change twigs mid-game and be distracted by the feel or look. The less to worry about the better! If you are a beginner goalie figuring out where to start this is a good place, find your rhythm and experiment with different techniques. If you are anywhere between Junior, Minor-pro or an NHL goalie and think I am doing it wrong, feel free to leave a comment below! I am a Semi-Professional goalie based in Newcastle, Australia. I play for The Coast of the Pacific Hockey League and Vlogging my 2022 season. I also make content based around gear, off ice, training, drills and Australian Ice Hockey in general. So make sure you head to my channel page and suss out my other videos! Special thanks to Skaters Network who supports me and my channel, head over to www.skatersnetwork.com.au if you are in Australia or New Zealand for a great range of hockey equipment. All of which is stocked in Australia, no waiting around for months for your order to come in! Also given the cost of international shipping and conversion of the Aus $, buying local often turns out cheaper and you are putting money back into the hockey community at home! ---------- 0:00 intro 0:29 Cleaning up the stick 1:49 Taping the blade 8:40 Paddle grip 10:50 End grip 13:21 Butt end 16:36 Fishing up
