Here is a third song on this YouTube channel from the 2002 album Starin' Down The Sun by The Red Dirt Rangers from Stillwater, OK. "What's The Chance" was written by Bob Wiles the group's bass player. The album was recorded at The Church Studio in Tulsa, owned by Steve Ripley at the time, who produced the album with the band, was sound engineer and did the final mixes. The other members were Brad Piccolo, Ben Han, and John Cooper. Working on the album with them, not as "special guests," but more as band members, were Tulsa's legendary drummer Jim Karstein and legendary pianist Rocky Frisco. Both go way back to the Tulsa music scene in the 50s when Karstein played with Leon Russell and David Gates, and Rocky played with JJ Cale. The Red Dirt Rangers are still active today, and just recently recorded their album Red Dirt Town at The Church Studio, now owned by Teresa Knox. It was originally bought by Leon in 1972 when it was still a church and was converted into a state-of-the-art recording studio. Photos of Rocky, Jim and Steve were taken in Tulsa in 2000.
