Hi friends today's task is Route53 Failover Routing Policy... That means if any of our website is down it will route to another website page... route 53,route 53 aws tutorial,route 53 failover,route 53 failover routing policy, route 53 failover to s3,route 53 failover example,aws route 53 subdomain,aws route 53 failover, amazon route 53 hosted zone,route 53 in aws,aws route 53 faq,aws route 53 documentation,amazon route 53,Route 53 health check,Route 53 resolver, Let's see... 1.Launch the Two EC2 instances with server 1 and server 2 with index.html data. 2.Attach Default and Http security groups. 3.Create loadbalancer and add the Two instances. 4.And give security group default and Http to this Loadbalancer also. 5.Now goto route53 and create public hosted zone. 6.my domain name is yowhatsapp.tk 7.Mention yowhatsapp.tk here. 8.mention public hosted zone here. 9.NS record and SOA Records are automatically created by AWS 10.Now Create A Type record for this domain. 11.click on Create record set 12.select ipv4 only because it is free available... If you select CNAME it is chargable 13.select alias YES then you see loadbalancer endpoint in drop down 14.select Routing policy is Failover because we are doing failover concept right now... 15.select Failover Record type as Primary because the ELB endpoint which we have the Primary Ec2 instances website right... Seconday means failover site that means Second website 16.click on Evaluate Target Health is Yes... AWS Will automatically check the health of the Target. 17.click no here because this our created health check selection... Upto now we did't create any health checks... Now just click on no...will create health check and will select yes 18.click on Health Checks on Leftside menu. 19.Click on Create Health Check and Give the details. 20.Now let's check the Website with web.yowhatsapp.tk 21.we have to update the Nameservers then it will gives website... Let's give those name servers.... 22.copy these 4 name servers and paste in domain purchased name servers field... 23.this is my domain and Click on Managed domain. Click on management tools and Nameservers. 24.now wait for 1 min the DNS name servers will propagate. 25.Now goto s3 bucket and create a bucket(web.yowhatsapp.com) and upload secondary website files which we want to redirect/route when anything happens to primary website... 26.The bucket web.yowhatsapp.tk is created 27.Now we have to Upload the files into it. 28.Now make all the files as Public. 29.My another html page is working now make this bucket as static website hosting. 30.Now goto Route53 and Create record for this Secondary website also... 31.select Alias Target as S3 Website endpoint. 32.select Routing Policy as Failover. 33.fail over record type as Secondary 34.Now Both A Records are here.Now just check the website once what it is showing. 35.Still it is going to the primary website. 36.Now let's stop the instances then check it. 37.After stopping the instances we will get error.It will take time to route traffic to secondary site in few seconds... 38.See the failover routing is Done....Now we are getting the Coming soon page... that means it is accessing the seconday website after the primary site fails...
