So, in the #DragonBall video games, Android 19 was a father! You think Android 21 was strange? 19 had a son in one of the Dragon Ball video games - and he was over 9000! Android 19000 to be precise. However, there is more to this story than just the antics of Dragon Ball Online - it turns out that the games of #DragonBallZ and #DragonBallSuper (even the likes of Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2!) gave rise to characters that were either amazing, wacky or downright terrible. Today, we present to you the wild world of Dragon Ball video game characters and whether you would want to see them appear in a mainline story. Hey folks, MasakoX here. Now when it comes to video games, a lot of people know the drill with them. For the most part, it's the Raditz to Buu adventure time and time again with the occassional what if scenario here or there...then it became all about getting jpegs of characters in Legends and Dokkan Battle. Then we did have FighterZ and Kakarot, following the trinity of those and Xenoverse. For the most part, new characters were few and far between...but the ones that did get added have become part of the community such as Chornoa and Android 21 and Towa...hmm...I'm beginning to see a pattern as to exactly WHY they are so well acknowledged...but that's for another video. In any case, there are some characters that are made for Dragon Ball properties which don't exactly get their time to shine...in fact, you would be even surprised that they were made for official properties at all. For a lot of these, you might be thinking "OH! That's fan-made" or "That looks more like it belongs in One Piece!" - but no! These off-the-beaten-track peoples and animals and whatnot are part of fully licensed products for games that are related to Toriyama's vision...whether or not the man had something to do with their creation, design or inception is a little bit up in the air. Dragon Ball Video games often offer us some wild scenarios and match ups (of course when they're not just reminding us how quickly Raditz was brushed aside), though rarely do those crazy circumstances become the main topic of the title. We alluded to how they categorized certain things such as battle techniques, or what would be our ideal production for a video game in other entries on this channel...but sometimes...sometimes, you have to join in on the madness and check out the original material they are adding in. You gotta hand it to the lesser know game titles when they give things a go. Gotta love Dragon Ball Fusions for example.
