I came across some really disturbing news today that I feel is important to talk about. The Mormon Church is facing 91 child sex abuse lawsuits in California. At the same time, they’ve quietly rolled out changes to garments, which feels like an all-too-familiar pattern. Covering up the REAL issues with a fun announcement they knew would get a lot of press. For so many of us who have left the church, this kind of thing hits hard. It’s not just about the lawsuits or the changes. It’s about the way we’ve seen issues get swept under the rug while attention is diverted elsewhere. It’s a reminder of the frustration, the betrayal, and the endless layers of secrets we uncover long after we’ve walked away. If this news brings up anger, sadness, or even guilt, know that you’re not alone in feeling that way. It’s exhausting to keep finding out there’s more to the story, more things that were hidden from us. We’ve already left behind a structure that didn’t allow us to ask tough questions, and now we’re left to process it all without the community we once had. But you don’t have to go through it alone. As ex-Mormon women, we deserve spaces where we can talk about this stuff, where we can process it together, and where we can support one another as we rebuild our lives outside the church. I’m here to create that space. If this resonates with you or if you’re tired of navigating this journey alone, follow me for more conversations like this. Let’s talk about what’s really happening and support each other through the messiness. You deserve to be heard, and you deserve a community that truly sees you. Follow for more discussions, community, and support. #ExMormon #ExMormonWomen #MormonChurch #PostMormon #ReligiousTrauma #ChildAbuse #ExMoSupport #LifeAfterMormonism #ExMormonCommunity #LDS #MormonSexAbuse
