Walk with us as we explore this Recreation Area wing of an abandoned correctional facility. We found a mini put course, large gymnasium with a work out gym and a stage as well as dressing rooms, a locker room and so much more. This location had active security which operated in "Patrol Zones" we explore a "Do Not Patrol Zone" that leads us to a security patrolled zone which we enter to find the prison has partial power throughout. This Penitentiary closed down in the early 2000's when funds to maintain the building and keep it up to code ran dry. Inmates were shipped off to a new near by Super Penitentiary that was constructed years before the closure of this location. Housing its first inmates in 1910 this site was operational for just under 100 years. The prisoners' were almost entirely self sufficient with an extensive farm boasting structures built with their own hands.
