It's time to take a deep dive into Ducati's first single-cylinder engine since the uber-exclusive Single in the Supermono of the early 1990s. The Superquadro Mono makes its debut inside the Hypermotard 698 Mono, and while on paper it's just half of the 1299 Panigale engine, there has to be more to it than that. We wanted to know more about it, so we spoke to Luca Bandiera, Ducati's Engine Project Manager, who gave us the full rundown of the engine.
