This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Always focusing on the potential of cross-pollination, Key advocated the power of the crowd, summarizing as: "if you want to go fast, just go alone: if you want to go far, go together but if you want to go fast and far crowd it up." He also shows their most popular invention, the "powernapping" device, Ostrich Pillow, which has made global headlines since 2012. Key Kawamura works with Ali Ganjavian. Mixing Spanish, Japanese, Iranian and Azari ancestry, Key and Ali met in London while studying. Architects by education, Entrepreneurs by miseducation and Creative Mavericks by definition, they founded the multidisciplinary creative platform Studio Banana, which now has offices in Spain, Switzerland and UK, and is based on an international team of creative professionals developing disruptive projects in a wide range of creative fields. They have lectured and exhibited internationally in institutions and events such as MoMA New York, Stanford University, Guggenheim Bilbao, Qatar Foundation, Strelka Institute Moscow, Tokyo Designers Week or Creative Morning Geneva. Studio Banana’s work has been published extensively in print, digital and TV media globally. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
