Assess, adjust, assess, adjust—Functional Integration seeks to guide the body to move more efficiently and effectively, to integrate into a whole rather than pieces. It breaks down certain movements—in this case turning—and works through the whole body to teach it how to move better, and therefore, to think and function better. Functional Integration is part of the Feldenkrais Method, with its sister offshoot Awareness Through Movement used in group settings. Because this is an ASMR video for relaxation and not the real deal, I'm in front of the camera the whole time, whereas in a real lesson, the practitioner is often behind the student.
