Classic TV Theme: Switch (Robert Wagner)

Inspired by the success of 'The Sting' this show cast two actors with pretty good chemistry as detectives who solve cases by pulling cons on their targets. But that wasn't good enough; it was a time when every network had its Sting-wannabe and none of them were drawing viewers. So midway through season one, the sly, dixieland-type theme was replaced by a more active, tough-P.I. arrangement. Not a new theme - it was the same Glen Larson tune, just arranged completely differently. This was a clue that the show was changing concepts, and it did, moving from con-of-the-week to a standard P.I. show. Audiences liked the change, though I didn't, and it saved the show long enough to fulfill a three-season run. Both versions of the theme included here.
