In this podcast, Reading Scripture as Sons: Recovering God’s Original Intent, we confront a central issue in biblical reading. The problem is not access to Scripture, literacy, consistency, or devotion. The problem is centre. Many believers read the Bible with themselves at the centre and Christ at the margins. This approach fragments meaning and reduces Scripture to material for personal use. A Christological reading restores Christ as the reference point, the governing authority, and the pattern for sonship. Drawing from key passages such as James 1:22, Colossians 1:18, John 5:39, Colossians 1:15, Romans 8:29, and Ephesians 2:20 (NASB95), this teaching calls you to read Scripture for formation, not information. In this podcast, you will explore: Why Scripture must be read with Christ at the centre, not personal experience The difference between using Scripture as a reference manual and receiving it as revelation Christ as the Image (eikōn) of the invisible God and the pattern for mature sonship Why conformity to Christ, not comfort, is the goal of reading Scripture How Christ as the Cornerstone aligns doctrine, belief, and life Why obedience is the true measure of spiritual growth How Christological reading restores apostolic order and prepares sons for governance This episode will challenge you to ask: Am I reading Scripture to understand it, or to submit to Christ? Does this text shape my obedience, or only my beliefs? What in my life resists alignment to Christ as the Cornerstone? The Bible is not primarily asking what you believe. It is asking who you are becoming. Read Scripture as a son. Align without delay. Obey without negotiation. 3.
