Jenga Mama: Empowering the lives of women in Amboseli, Kenya

Together with the German foundation, Margarete-Breuer Stiftung (MBS), IFAW is supporting 60 women in the rural communities surrounding Amboseli, Kenya with a three-year vocational skills training in professions such as hair & beauty, food & beverage services, garment making and plumbing. Called Jenga Mama (Swahili for "Empower a Woman"), this education project will equip these women with the tools to successfully set up small businesses to generate sustainable incomes for their families and communities. By the end of 2023, these 60 women will be prepared to sustainably run the business enterprises they've established.
