Nathaniel Freeman shares his journey into Trauma-Informed Pedagogy while teaching at the Missoula County Juvenile Detention Center. Reflecting on personal challenges and professional shifts, Freeman explores how expressive arts and community-building transform the lives of incarcerated youth. His narrative challenges traditional educational approaches, highlighting empathy and creative engagement as pivotal in breaking cycles of trauma and nurturing resilience among vulnerable students.
