School to Prison Pipeline | Youth for RISE Advocacy Network | TEDxYouth@RVA

Youth for RISE is fighting for change. Their mission is to reform the juvenile justice system and invest in community-based alternatives that serve young people. They share their passion about improving the deteriorating conditions in schools and about the need for better funding of public schools. They are determined to see that reform happens in Virginia for the good of all communities. Maurice Hill, Douglas Johnson, Da’Quon Beaver and Briele Ellis with Youth for RISE Advocacy Network | The Youth for RISE Advocacy Network is for youth and young adults ages 13-24 in the Richmond metro area who have personally experienced the juvenile justice system or who are interested in improving the juvenile justice system and dismantling the school to prison pipeline.
