RUN STATS: Run Name: Dave's Run Location: Mammoth Rating: ♦ (Single Black) My Personal Rating Opinion: ♦ (Single Black) Lift Taken: Panorama Gondola Maximum Pitch: 32 degrees Run Type: Alpine Bowl Run Aspect: North SNOW CONDITIONS: Firm Chalk DATE OF RECORDING: December, 31, 2024 DESCRIPTION: Dave's Run is one of the signature bowl areas off Mammoth's Summit. It takes a bit of traversing to get to it, but it's definitely not a bad place to check out once while you're at Mammoth. I'm sure Dave's can be pretty phenomenal on powder days, but on the day of recording, the wind had blown a lot of the snow off and it was skiing pretty firm. On this run, I was actually trying to ski Head Chutes but found a rope preventing me from going further down the ridge so I traversed back to hit Dave's instead. Dave's was pretty fun, but not anything too special and if I'm going in this direction in the future, I'd rather hit runs like Huevos, Head Chutes, Dragon's Back, etc... Glad I checked it out though!
