Skyway Ledges to Westside to Byway to Hansen Chase is an intermediate ski run located at Mount Sunapee. It runs from the summit of the mountain, down to the base area of the mountain. It starts off pretty much straight off the summit as Skyway Ledges, which is a short, but moderately steep, trail. It then comes to an intersection where Skyway takes a slight right, and Westside continues straight (which is the trail I took in this video). Westside is a pretty average blue, which then meets up with the mid-mountain traverse. In this video, at the traverse, I continued straight, and then took a left onto Byway which bypasses Chase Ledges (an advanced trail), which was closed when I visited. Byway then merges with Chase Ledges and becomes Hansen Chase, an intermediate trail, which runs towards the Sunapee Express, then runs underneath the bottom of the lift. The trail then ends at the bottom of the Sunapee Express Quad, and next to the Sunapee Lodge. Mount Sunapee is a ski area located in Newbury, New Hampshire. It is located in the central-western portion of the state. The ski area is located about 28 mi southeast of Lebanon, 37 mi northwest of Concord, 50 mi northwest of Manchester, and about 100 mi northwest of Boston, MA. Due to its close proximity to many major cities in New England, Mount Sunapee is one of the more popular ski areas in New Hampshire. The ski area sits in the Sunapee State Park, which is also home to a State Beach on Lake Sunapee nearby. The ski area was previously operated by the state of New Hampshire, but has been leased out since the end of the 1900s, and is currently operated by Vail Resorts, and is therefore on the Epic Pass. Sunapee is known for its great views of the nearby Lake Sunapee, its big and separate beginner area, and its nice intermediate cruisers. The mountain is split up into five areas: the Main Face which has lots of fun, intermediate cruisers that everyone can enjoy; Sunbowl, which also has a nice variety of intermediate cruisers that are slightly shorter, but provide a better view of the lake; North Peak, which is where a majority of the ski area's advanced terrain is located; Spruce Peak, where most of the ski area's terrain parks are located; and South Peak, which is a separate (across the parking lot) area of Mount Sunapee which is dedicated to beginners.
