Chana Chaat Recipe | Easy Pakistani Street Food at Home (Ramadan Special) | Fatima cooking and eat This is the favorite street food of pakitan and Indian bcz they love spicy and mixed flavours in it. And today we are going to make it for our iftar. I hope you guys gonna like the recipe and will know how to make dough for the crispy samosa. 💯🥵😋🤤 ■🛒 Ingredients ■ For Boiled Chana: ● 1 kg chana (chickpeas) ● 4 glasses water ● Salt as needed ● 2 teaspoons chaat masala ■ For Samosa Dough: ● 3 cups refined flour (maida) ● 4 tablespoons oil ● Salt as needed ● Water as needed (for hard or soft dough) ■ For Potato Filling: ● ½ kg potatoes (boiled & peeled) ● 4 tablespoons oil ● 1 teaspoon zeera (cumin seeds) ● 1 teaspoon haldi (turmeric powder) ● 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ● 1 teaspoon dhaniya powder ● Green chilli (optional, for extra spice) ● Fresh chopped green dhaniya (coriander) ● Salt as needed ■ For Sealing Paste: ● 2 tablespoons flour ● Little water ● Pinch of salt ■ For Chana Chaat Topping: ● Chopped onion ● Chopped tomatoes ● Chopped cucumber ■ For Green Chutney: ● Fresh coriander (dhaniya) ● Green chilli ● Yogurt ● Ginger ● Salt ■ 👩🍳 Step-by-Step Method ● Step 1: Boil the Chana First, wash 1 kg chana properly. Soak it in water for 30 minutes. Then put it in a pressure cooker, add 4 glasses of water and cook for about 40 minutes until soft. ● Step 2: Prepare the Dough In a bowl, add: 3 cups maida 4 tablespoons oil Salt as needed Add water slowly and knead the dough. (I made hard dough for crispy samosas.) Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes. ● Step 3: Prepare the Potato Filling Boil ½ kg potatoes. Peel the skin and mash them. In a pot, heat 4 tablespoons oil. ○ Add: 1 teaspoon zeera 1 teaspoon haldi 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon dhaniya powder Salt as needed Green chilli (optional) Chopped coriander Mix well. Add mashed potatoes and fry for a few minutes. ● Step 4: Shape & Fill Samosas Roll the dough into circle shapes (like shown in video). Cut and fold into triangle shape. Fill with potato mixture. Make sealing paste using flour + water + pinch of salt. Seal the edges properly. ● Step 5: Fry the Samosas Heat oil and fry samosas until golden and crispy. ● Step 6: Prepare the Chana Chaat Take 4 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add boiled chana, 2 teaspoons chaat masala and salt as needed. Mix well. ○ Now add chopped: Onion Tomato Cucumber Mix everything nicely. ● Step 7: Make Green Chutney Add coriander, green chilli, yogurt, ginger and salt into a blender. Blend until smooth. ■ 🍽 How to Serve & Eat Take chana in a bowl. Break crispy samosa on top. Add green chutney.
