A Cold Winter Day at the Coast — Ocean Waves and Eagles

Join me on this relaxing winter hike to the ocean where I get to see eagles and several fishing boats. The fishing season is about to start, which is noticeable with all the fishing vessels traveling in and out of the fjord. Snow is on the ground and the temperature is below freezing. I head to a spot I’ve never been before, just outside the perimeter of the local airport here in Svolvær. I was lucky to catch one of Widerø’s propellers coming in for landing just as I arrived at my chosen camp spot. I make myself a cup of hot chocolate and an orange to enjoy while listening to the sounds of the ocean. The waves are of decent size and makes a continuous humming or roaring sound as they hit the shoreline. It feels both relaxing and refreshing to spend a day at the coast, especially when the weather is this good. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
