In this video, I'll show you what to look for and how to read Marketing Cloud job descriptions. This is the job description i was looking at from Robotics Technologies: https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=230... It's for a Marketing Cloud QA Engineer. They want you to have the email specialist certification, but I think you should have the Marketing Cloud Developer certification for this job. And i think you should have the Mulesoft cert (or it should be strongly recommended). There should also be a QA certification required of some sort. This job is for a marketing cloud developer and i think that the person could get trained up on quality assurance skills when they get the job. You don't necessarily NEED to have a decade of QA skills to get this job. I'm sure you could have 3-5 years of QA experience or even just have Marketing Cloud developer experience and get trained up on QA best practices within the organization and do just fine. Overall, I'll give this job description a C. The reason is because the person who would apply for this job would need to be a Salesforce Marketing Cloud developer, not an email specialist. Also, the person would need to know Mulesoft, so that certification is needed. And a QA cert is probably needed (if you don't want to train an experienced Marketing Cloud developer on QA best practices). Also, they say that the person should have familiarity with AMPscript and that it's nice to have, but in reality, this is a code heavy job and I'm sure they use a lot of AMPscript in this job if there's all this API and automation language in the job description. If that's the case, then they should easily know AMPscript because you're looking for a developer. This developer should also know SSJS (ServerSide Java Script) if they are going to get this job. Especially if they're dealing with API's in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. ---------- Someone who get's this job should be paid at least $150 per hour if they're corp to corp or 1099. Other than that, if they're W2, then they should get paid $150,000 - $175,000 USD per year.
