Wednesday, January 7, 2026 I would head north to this crossing as L96 was already on the move north. After I set up, NS L96 comes by a couple of minutes later with a single NS SD60E at the IN-8 railroad crossing in St. Joe on the Huntington District. This crossing has another pair of 1970s N&W gated signals that would have their crossbucks replaced, the right signals Safetran mechanical bell replaced with a GS type 2 E-Bell the front pair of Safetran 8 inch lights were replaced with Safetran 12x24 inch lights on both signals, and their diagonally striped gates with NEG incandescents were replaced with vertically striped ones with RECO incandescents and LEDs.
