The hardest mission of this whole game mode. Positioning and timing are vital. You play as Spain. You must destroy the enemy army to the last man without losing your Fort. You start with a massive force, they will need to fulfill their given roles to the fullest extent: Halberdiers and Musketeers will be your holding force. Make sure to upgrade your Halberdiers. Withdraw them to your Fort and set them up as a roadblock, mutually supporting eachother. Eventually Coal will run out. Conquistadors and Dragoons will be your breakthrough force, as they can choose where to attack and can rout Formations to create openings. Consolidate them into a single force and open a path to the enemy Cannons before they can shoot your Fort. Spearmen will work as gatekeepers. Their spear attack can devastate clumped up enemies, regardless of armor. Keep them in reserve and send them to where the enemy pressure reaches critical mass. Warriors with Staff will be your flanking force. They can distract enemy formations while your cavalry attack the first line of Cannons. They can attack Cannons, too, but their stats are terrible against everything else, so don't expect much from them. Peasants will only be useful for garrisoning your Fort. Don't expect many kills from it, as enemies are armored. You get a Blacksmith and Town Center, too. Make use of their armor upgrades, as you will have Iron to spare. Your enemy is also Spain. Their army is almost exclusively Halberdiers, with some Dragoons and plenty of Cannons. They will beat your army man for man, even with upgrades. Taking their buildings gives you no benefit. Their number of Cannons will also be problematic, as a single shot can be enough to cause you to lose. The most effective way fo win is to use all your forces simultaneously and make the enemy split theirs. Funnel their Halberdiers towards your Fort, destroy their Cannons, and make sure to use flanking fire. Once their Formations start breaking up, you can cause a chain effect and clean up afterwards.
