A Walk Along the Sentier Cathare

The Cathar Way is a 250 kilometre walk from La Porte Nouvelle on the Mediterranean Sea to Foix, in the Ariège Department and the foothills of the Pyrenees. This video shows what the walking is like along the second half of the route, from Quillan in the Aude Department to Foix in late October 2024. We walked for six days and covered about 115 kilometres. There are two route variations: we took the northern one, primarily because it was easier to arrange accommodation. The walking traverses a mixture of agricultural land and forests and is highlighted by a traverse through a deep gorge and passing by a number of Cathar castles.
