Today we're going to review part number STL179RB. This is Optronics GloLight Thinline LED Stop/Turn/Tail and Trailer Light. This Thinkline GloLight will serve as a break light, a turn signal on a taillight for your trailer. Basically the larger section, the diodes would be function as your taillights, when you turn your taillights on this would light up and it will brighten when the brakes or the turn signals are activated. The center diodes, the six right here in the middle these are red LED's that illuminate when you put on your turn or your break lights and this is a red lens over red LED's. As you can see it is designed to fit in a narrow space on your trailer. It does use the surface mount technology which will protect LED's for moisture, shock and vibration. Basically the surface mount technology means that the diodes on the inside are mounted directly on to the circuit board instead through holes, has a polycarbonate lens and housing which we're sonically sealed and waterproof and as you can see on the back it has a three wire pigtail, the white wire with the eyelid on it is for ground, that's about a seven inch wire lid here. The black is for the 12 volt power and the red is for the break and the turn signals. This does hard wire interior trailer wiring. This does meet the Department of Transportation Requirements. Just want to give you a dimension on this, the overall width is seventeen inches, the thickness of it is right at one inch and then the height is right at one and three-eights inches. Again, this is a surface mount, on each end there is a hole for the screws to go through. Now, what I'm going to do is hook it up to our 12 volt power source here just to give you an idea of how bright it is. We're going to hook the 12 volt power up. I'm going to hook the red wire for the break and the turn and then again the white will hook for the ground. Okay. Now, what we're going to do is go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, now with the overhead lights off I'm going to apply the 12 volt power and that would be in the taillight, another words when you turn your taillights on this would be the brightness it would give off and then when you go to apply your brakes or your turn signals you'll be able to see the middle lights up brighter and actually it's hard to see on the camera but the outer taillight parts would also brighten up a little bit also. I'm going to go ahead and just turn off the 12 volt power, we're going to turn on the overhead lights. That should do it for the review on part number STL179RB, the Optronics GloLight Thinline LED Stop/Turn/Tail and Trailer Light. .
