It's a long-standing belief among some athletes that too much running may hurt your knees or give you arthritis. But, this isn't true. Sure, some people are more prone to injury while others seem incapable of injury, but in general, running and cycling are both good for your joint health. And, for cyclists, running or weight training can be very helpful for both performance and long term health. So, if you're considering cross training during the off-season or you like running, go ahead and include some running in your training program. You may consider when is the right time to do more of that or less, and how intensely to run, or you could ask a coach for some guidance on that. But in general, cross training is good for injury prevention, fitness, and provides some mental benefit in keeping your training variable. https://englishendurance.com/ http://equipequarterly.com/ IG: / natebikes Strava: / strava
