Roots Down is partnering with EcoLogic, a native landscape restoration company, to discuss how we might shift our mindsets about plants that we deem "invasive". We will take a deeper dive into invasive species removal, exploring how we can grow ecology and achieve long-term environmental improvement by maintaining spaces with regenerative practices. From the Presenters: Roots Down is building a world where every person has access to fresh food and thriving ecosystems that feed our soils and the people. We teach people from all walks of life how to grow food, grow their local ecology, and grow community through regenerative agriculture practices. EcoLogic promotes ecology-based, sustainable landscape restoration practices using Georgia native species communities. Sam Cramer is the founder of Rethinking Invasive, a newly-launched educational and collaborative platform sharing alternative ways of healing, sustainability, and conservation. This community believes a fundamental change to our relationship with the land around us is the surest way to a sustainable and just future.
