Welcome to the Collector Series—a dive into the spirited world of breweriana collecting! The Cone Top Brewery Museum has partnered with the National Association Breweriana Advertising (NABA) to showcase the passion and stories behind the collections of dedicated NABA members. From vintage outdoor signs to lithographs that once graced taproom walls, each collector shares their passion for the hobby, how they got started and some of their favorite pieces. Breweriana provides a remarkable glimpse of our past and the American breweries that have shaped today's culture. These collector stories are a testament to why preserving brewery history is so important. Through these videos we are able to represent the collector’s appreciation for breweriana and we hope to create a spark in new generations to join the conservation of beer memorabilia. These collector videos will be a part of the vast collection and ongoing preservation effort at The Cone Top Brewery Museum in Vicksburg, Michigan. --- About the Collector: Chip Echnoz Kitanning, PA Discover the world of collectible beer cans with Chip Echnoz, a passionate collector with a lifetime of memories. Hear him talk about his vast collection of rare and vintage beer cans, from early 20th-century classics to modern-day treasures. Beer is in Chip Echnoz’s blood. His family owned a small brewery in Meadville, Pennsylvania in the late 1800s and a prize in his collection is a bottle from that brewery—labeled with his last name. It took Chip 32 years to find the artifact he didn’t know even existed, and it is believed to be the only existing example. That unique bottle is just one of hundreds of rare brewery pieces on display in a special building on Chip’s property. The structure houses a grouping of breweriana that is truly spectacular in both quality and quantity. In fact, Chip has painstakingly built what is believed to be the finest collection of breweriana from Western Pennsylvania ever assembled. Fun Fact: Chip’s family owned a brewery in Meadville, PA in the late 1800s.
