Join me on an unforgettable journey in this Mostar Bosnia vlog as I travel from Sarajevo to explore one of the most unique and historic cities in Europe. This Bosnia vlog captures the beauty, history, and emotional impact of Mostar, a city that holds incredible views and a dark past, making it a must-visit for any traveler, especially those interested in Muslim heritage and history. I started my day in Sarajevo, Bosnia, walking to the coach station while sharing my reflections on my experiences in Bosnia so far. Along the way, I treated myself to a warm chocolate croissant, a perfect snack for the road ahead. As we traveled towards Mostar, I was captivated by the breathtaking landscapes that Bosnia has to offer, from scenic mountains to lush valleys. Upon arriving in Mostar, I crossed the iconic bridge into the West Bank of Mostar, a sight that took my breath away. The bridge offers a stunning view of the Neretva River and is a powerful symbol of the city’s resilience. My first stop was the old sniper tower, an abandoned structure that played a haunting role during the Bosnian war. While I didn’t enter, I provided some context about the tower’s significance and its place in Bosnia’s recent history. From there, I wandered through the old bazaar of Mostar, which reminded me so much of the markets in Istanbul, Turkey. The vibrant atmosphere, narrow streets, and traditional shops made me feel like I had stepped back in time. I then visited the historic Old Bridge of Mostar, one of the most famous landmarks in Bosnia. Standing on the bridge, I admired the panoramic views and shared some insights into its fascinating history. As a Muslim traveler, I made my way to a nearby mosque for prayer, which offered a peaceful moment amidst the bustling city. After praying, I visited a local café for lunch, though I have to admit, the burger I ordered wasn’t quite to my taste! Determined to experience more of the city, I continued my exploration, discovering more abandoned buildings and learning about Mostar’s rich yet somber past. My last stop was the War and Genocide Museum in Mostar. The museum provided an incredible and moving insight into the events of the Bosnian war, leaving a lasting impact on me. This visit added a powerful dimension to my journey, giving me a deeper understanding of Bosnia’s history and resilience. After an eventful day, I returned to Sarajevo, reflecting on my incredible experience in Mostar. This Muslim vlog not only showcases the beauty of Bosnia but also provides a heartfelt exploration of the history, culture, and resilience of the people here.
