Taco Ring 🌮 with Croissant Rolls & Cranberry Muffins 🧁🍒 #cookingconnection #cookingchannel Taco Ring with Crescent Rolls Ingredients 2 lbs ground beef (or turkey/chicken) 1 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespoons ground cumin 1 tablespoons paprika 1 tablespoons garlic powder 1 tablespoons onion powder 1 teaspoon oregano 2 teaspoons salt (to taste) 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat) 1 large or 2 small crushed tomatoes 1/4 cup water make sure mix is dry, drain beef fat motley leave some to cook and season tomatoes and until dove Instructions 1. Brown the meat Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 2 lbs of ground meat and cook until fully browned. Drain excess grease. 2. Add seasoning Sprinkle all the spices over the meat. 3. Add liquid Pour in about ½ cup water or broth and stir well. 4. Simmer Let it simmer 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the meat. Optional Flavor Boosts 1 tablespoon tomato paste Juice of ½ lime Small diced onion cooked with the meat Fresh cilantro at the end ✔ 2 pounds of meat usually makes about 10–12 tacos. Taco Ring 2 lbs taco meat (already cooked and seasoned) 2 cans crescent rolls (or crescent dough sheets) 1–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Optional toppings after baking: shredded lettuce diced tomatoes sour cream salsa avocado or guacamole Instructions 1. Preheat oven Set oven to 375°F. 2. Prepare the dough Unroll the crescent rolls. On a large baking sheet or pizza pan, arrange the triangles in a circle. The wide ends overlap in the center, and the points face outward, forming a sun shape. 3. Add filling Spoon the taco meat around the ring where the wide ends overlap. Sprinkle cheese on top of the meat. 4. Form the ring Fold the triangle points over the meat toward the center. Tuck them under slightly so the filling is mostly covered. 5. Bake Bake 20–25 minutes until the crescent dough is golden brown. 6. Serve Place lettuce, tomato, sour cream, or salsa in the center of the ring for dipping. ✔ This usually serves 6 people. 🧁Cranberry Muffins Ingredients 2 cups flour (250 g) 1¼ cups sugar 1 cup cranberries ¾ cup milk 2 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp sour cream or applesauce 1 tbsp vanilla ½ tsp salt 2 eggs ½ cup oil or melted butter 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice Add ½ tsp orange zest or lemon zest for extra flavor. Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). 2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, sour cream (or applesauce), and lemon juice. 4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not over mix. 5. Gently fold in the cranberries. 6. Fill muffin cups about ¾ full and spray with non stick spray. 7. Bake for 20 min medium or 25 minutes large muffins until the tops are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 8. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Yield: About 12 medium muffins or 6 large muffins. ✅ Optional: Sprinkle a little sugar on top before baking for a crisp muffin top.
