The members of the ensemble are Serbs who are dedicated to cherishing the cultural heritage of their ancestors. The group's repertoire includes traditional songs that have been passed down from generation to generation, and their performances often accompany local celebrations and cultural events. Through their activities, SKD “Prosvjeta” strengthens the identity and unity of the local community. Their repertoire includes traditional songs such as lički ojkan, "na bas" songs, as well as many other tunes characteristic of the local folklore and spiritual heritage of the Serbs from Lika. Lika is located between the Velebit mountain range (to the west) and Plješevica and Kapela (to the east). Administratively, it belongs to the following counties: Lika-Senj County, Šibenik-Knin County and Zadar County. Lika has a rich history and a unique musical culture, which has been preserved to this day. “Oj livado rosna trava” is a popular sung in “na bas” style. It is characterized by two-part harmony. It is practiced across the Balkans with different regional variants. It is based on intervals of a third, quart, and fifth.
