Open Studio: Textile Bookmaking & Finding Creative Inspiration

Join me in my art studio as I show you what I'm working on today. I have a few projects going at the moment, a new mixed media fabric book that is part of my new series called Deconstruct : Reconstruct (I think!). Today, I'm sharing how I cut up a comforting blanket from a special friend that holds the energy of friendship and care for me. I ponder it, play with the new book structure and share the materials I'm inspired by along with a fabulous magazine called, "In Her Studio" and a book I found the other day called, "Water of the Sky: A Dictionary of 2,000 Rain Words" by Miya Ando. Oh and these gorgeous postcards by Christine Chitnis that I'm cutting up for one of my books and placing around my little art studio. I am loving filling my creative well at the moment with fresh inspiration, ideas and artists. Art is my sanctuary and such a mindful, therapeutic experience for me.
