About this webinar: Every doctoral student is assigned a supervisor(and often more than one) whose primary role and responsibility is to provide scientific guidance, assistance on a scientific level, on choices related to the state of the art, the research methodology, scientific review, or the thesis structure. However, the emphasis here is on the GUIDANCE, while decisions on how to take the research further ultimately must be made by the student. And as frustrating and overwhelming as this may appear to the student, this is the role of a supervisor. During this webinar, we will discuss both sides' expectations, as well as how to constructively work with supervisor(s) feedback, covering topics such as time to feedback, scope of feedback, and the differences between supervisor and mentor roles.
