The Pork Festival (Schweinefest), held by the Millionaires' Society in Harmonia, a town colonized by German immigrants in southern Brazil, was once again a great success in its 20th edition. More than a ton of pork rinds, loin and leg, smoked meat, sausage and other specialties were prepared with care by a dedicated team of community residents. Coming from different locations by bus, car or other means of transportation, the privileged people who know about the festival once again filled the Society's facilities. No one wanted to miss the opportunity to once again taste the famous delicacies, which also include the traditional pork dumpling. It was four days of exhausting work by more than 100 volunteers, whose purpose is to keep alive the culinary tradition of their ancestors, the German immigrants, who colonized the region with great effort, making it one of the most developed in southern Brazil. #pork #pork #barbecue #meat
