E30 Seat Badges: https://ebay.us/1AEqUO Refurbishing E30 front seats is quite a large undertaking due to the complexity of the chairs in question. It can be extremely expensive to get a professional upholsterer to work on your car seats, with my budget on this E30 build this was never an option for me. Fortunately, a company called Lseat created leather covers all cut to size and sewed up, which allow you to effectively DIY reupholster your sports seats at home. Even though the seat covers are made and ready to go, that does not mean the process will be fast or without challenges, as I found out. Hopefully my E30 seat restoration guide will give you a huge head start in fixing your own seats. The sports seats I'm starting with are hounds tooth cloth seats, and at one time would have looked amazingly retro probably in a 325i Sport M-Tech 1 prefacelift E30. Not original to my 316i, but the previous owner had kindly swapped them in. I would have looked to retain the houndstooth centres and reupholstered the torn up and damaged cloth bolsters with leather, but ultimately the houndstooth was too worn thanks to the tensioning straps having given up. I went for full black leather seat covers, plus E30 seat badges which are a nice finishing embellishment. BMW seats from this era are assembled mainly with hog rings and staples which can be cut. You will need to get a hog ring pliers kit to refurbish your seat as I show in the video.
