Synopsis: Blue Mary is a versatile fighter, having many strong moves and techniques. Her combo damage is average, being sufficient enough to take out opponents. Her command normals, Forward+A and Forward+B are both really good, leading into a majority of her special moves. She's also a fantastic leader, with Mary Typhoon, her LDM (HCBx2+E), doing about half health in damage. Because of this, I usually have her as a leader, and if I have another character with a good LDM like Gai Tendo, I put her on battery or anchor. Her pressure and block strings are average, not being all that special. Basic information: Most of Blue Mary's special moves are pretty great. Most of them also have extra follow-ups to them. Spin Fall into Mary Spider (QCF+P into QCF+P) isn't too useful, only really good for mix-ups, as you can't combo into it. Her Real Counter (QCB+P) can be followed up with Backdrop Real (QCF+P) for a command grab follow-up. If you land the C version up close, you can have upper body invincibility to most high attacks, then you go for the command grab. Use the A version in combos. For example: St. C, Fwd+ A, QCB+A, QCF+A. Her Vertical Arrow (DP+K) is an anti-air move with a follow-up also being DP+K. The follow-up brings the opponent back to the ground, causing a hard knockdown. Always go for this. Straight Slicer ([B]~[F]+K) is a good low attack. It's mostly performed off of St. C, Fwd+B, and is good for set-ups and is one of her main bread and butters when going into the follow-up, Crab Crunch (QCF+K). Straight Slicer is her only Super Cancellable special move. Extra Notes: Mary can cancel her Forward+A into an Attack Cancel Roll (A+B during most normal attacks), being able to combo after the roll thanks to the massive amount of hit-stun on the move. An example would be: St. C (1 hit), Fwd+A, ACR, St. C (1 hit), Fwd+A, ACR, St. C, Fwd+B, Charge back, Fwd+B, QCF+K. Blue Mary's supers are phenomenal! Her Mary's Dynamite Swinging (QCFx2+K) is an okay super that does good damage. Her Mary Splash Rose (QCF, HCB+P) is her super that is used for Dream Cancelling, and can be followed up with the follow-up to Vertical Arrow. Mary Typhoon (HCBx2+E) is a super destructive move. It's a command grab LDM that can be deadly if used right.
