This video introduces electrical resistors. These small components allow us to control the current and potential difference in different parts of a circuit. There are different types of resistors, some have a constant resistance and others have variable resistance. An ordinary resistor has a constant resistance and is represented by a simple rectangle. A variable resistor lets us control its resistance manually. A thermistor's resistance is dependent on the temperature. A light dependent resistor (LDR) is dependent on the light intensity. An ohmic resistor has a constant resistance if the temperature remains constant.
