I chased an Olympian in the FASTEST race of my life | Mid-Cheshire 5k Summer 2025

I've spent the last 10 months focussing on building speed and it culminates in this, the fastest race of my life to date: the 2025 summer edition of the mid-Cheshire 5k. Running around the rural roads of Kingsley, this super fast (but not entirely flat) route, attracts runners ranging from Team GB Olympians to club runners hoping to break 30 minutes. And with a stacked field where up to 50 finishers will be expecting to break the 15 minute barrier, there are plenty of fast runners to cling onto in the hopes of getting a new PB time. This is likely my last all out 5k of 2025, and my best hope of getting a 5k time starting with a 23 this season. Stick around and see if I can pull it off.
