We start by looking at the results of the crackle mediums experiments and conclude the Golden crackle paste is most successful even with colour added. We then start on a new series about Chine-Collé but using a gell plate instead of a press. Our subject is one of several oyster mushrooms on an alder log. We prepare graphite and charcoal transfer drawings and paint a mulberry handmade paper. We do the transfer and place the Chine-collé piece on the gell plate in position and paint the rest of the plate with distress crayons. After waiting for it to dry, we brayer on the white and matte medium, place prepared wet paper on the plate, and again wait for it to dry with a quick reveal at the end of the video of a very successful Chine-collé print using a gell plate. 💰 DONATE: If you would like to support Shoreline Studio for ART SUPPLIES (and a latte for Josh!), you are welcome to donate to my PAYPAL account: https://paypal.me/painterly03 Chapters: 0:00 Opening titles 0:16 Intro: a look at the results of our crackle paste 3:36 An introduction to Chine-collé and today's project 5:30 Preparing for a graphite & charcoal transfer 13:30 Transferring drawings to the plate 14:53 Preparing the Chine-collé piece 18:07 Creating the background with distress crayons 27:38 Applying a release coat and prepared paper 31:40 Outro 32:17 Today's print 32:31 Revealing the print 33:49 Closing titles Original music by The Manitou: http://themanitou.bandcamp.com Filmed and edited by Joshua Blanc and Sybille Muschik Shoreline Studio: Facebook: / painterly03 Instagram: / shorelinestudio01
