Welcome back to my 5th powerlifting competition prep video! In today’s video, I discuss the importance of implementing cardio - specifically, running - even while in a powerlifting competition prep. I also show some of my lifts from my most recent week of training between 9 and 8 weeks out from my next powerlifting competition! I am documenting each week of my powerlifting competition prep within this postpartum competition prep series. This is my 13th powerlifting competition prep and my first one since giving birth 6 months ago. In my previous pregnancy series, I detailed how I modified my workouts and lifestyle to stay healthy for pregnancy! Prior to pregnancy, I was a competitive powerlifter of 7 years and I am extremely passionate about finding ways to move my body and stay healthy in all phases of life…especially this most important phase of preparing for birth!
