Yair Horn was born in Argentina and immigrated to Israel. Yair works in construction and is heavily involved in his home town. He also organized parties and holiday activities, including creating the local kibbutz pub. He was taken by the Hamas terrorists on the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel along with his brother Eitan Horn. Yair was abducted from his Kibbutz Nir Oz home on October 7 as the Hamas terrorists were killing and kidnapping the community’s residents. Yair spent 498 days in Hamas captivity, while Eitan remained in Gaza. Yair was released on February 15, 2025, as part of a ceasefire hostage release deal. Today, he shares his story and is an advocate for not only his brother, but for the hostages and for Israel.
