🚢 DS Folla was built in Trondheim in 1909 and is 35m long. During World War II, she served as a transport ship for Allied forces. 💰 After the war, she was sold to AS Anlegg and renamed DS Rallaren. She was used as a cargo ship during the construction of a power station in Tjongsfjord, Rødøy municipality. 🎄 In Christmas 1958, a storm hit. ❄️ Snow accumulated on the deck, increasing the ship’s weight. With some valves left open, water began seeping in. 🎁 Since the crew was away for Christmas, no one noticed as she sank 😬. ⚓️ Folla now lies at the bottom, in shallow water, starting at just 5m deep going down to 20m. She is even visible from shore durring low tide. Source: Children of the ocean - COTO Dykkeklubb
