STR Virtual PDW - Limits and idiosyncrasies of public markets and public corporations Are we finally seeing the beginnings of the eclipse of the public corporation, as least in its classical form? When are public markets neither efficient nor effective? Please join us in a virtual hybrid symposium on the limits and idiosyncrasies of public markets and public corporation. Our presenters include Gautam Ahuja, Mary Benner, and Paul Nary. Todd Zenger will be our discussant and a presenter. Gautam will discuss limitations of index funds as providers of corporate governance. Paul will discuss whether public corporations may underperform when transacting with private equity firms. Mary will give her overview of the literature on the limits of public equity markets and their implications for corporations. Todd will conclude with a discussion of the presentations and his own thoughts on the matter at hand. Register in advance for this meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/regis...
