This is also a video I made earlier—you might have seen it on other platforms. However, there were some minor issues with the hand poses back then, so this is a completely new version. When I first started making this video, I looked into the story behind the song, though it doesn’t directly relate to why I used these three characters. The main reason is that SEGA’s scene felt really fitting for this song. Unfortunately, aside from the street part, the surroundings were pretty empty, without much modeling. Even though I duplicated the scene on both sides, there might still be some gaps—sorry about that! As for why I chose Rhein Kraft… how should I explain it? The lyrics mention “the pure white girl who disappeared in summer,” which reminded me of her story. She passed away in August 2006, during the summer, due to acute heart failure. The shot of the train passing by was something I added as a small easter egg. I noticed the train model in the scene and decided to incorporate it creatively. In the original story, I believe the girl committed suicide by train, right? But in my version, I didn’t show the train hitting anyone—it just passes by, while Rhein Kraft gradually disappears. When I was making this video, Chapter 2 of the main story wasn’t finished yet. Cygames gave us a perfect ending where the girl wakes up, but here, I portrayed a somewhat sad story. After finishing it, I cried and kept blaming myself, wondering whether it was right to create something like this. Still, I felt that if these scenes could convey the idea of Rhein Kraft’s early passing, it was worth a try. So, if the way I expressed this through my shots made you uncomfortable, I’m truly sorry.
