كلمة في عطايا شيخنا المبجَّل، أحمد بن حنبل عصرنا، الحافظ الكامل، المفسِّر، الفقيه الأصولي على المذاهب الأربعة، اللغوي، المجتهد، المجاهد، الصوفي الوقور، الصَّموت، الزاهد، البَشُوش المتكرّم المحبّ للفقراء والضعفاء، سريع العَبرة كاتمها، المربّي، مخرِّج الحفّاظ والحافظات، رئيس قسم علوم القرآن والسنّة في كلية الشريعة بجامعتَي دمشق وحلب وأستاذ الحديث وعلومه في عدد من الجامعات والكليات، وصاحب المؤلفات القيّمة التي أثرى بها المكتبة الإسلامية، الشيخ الدكتور نور الدين بن محمد بن حسن بن محمد عِتْر الحلبي الدمشقي الحنفي الحسني الحسيني المتوفَّى عن سبع وثمانين عاماً رحمه الله تعالى وطيّب ثراه. قال الله تعالى: أَلا إِنَّ أَوْلِياءَ اللهِ لا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ (62) الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكانُوا يَتَّقُونَ (63) لَهُمُ الْبُشْرى فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ لاَ تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِماتِ اللهِ ذلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ (64) سورة يونس عليه السلام. قال الإمام البيضاوي رحمه الله تعالى: أَوْلِياءَ اللهِ الذين يتولونه بالطاعة ويتولاهم بالكرامة. فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيا هو ما بشّر به المتقين في كتابه وعلى لسان نبيه صلّى الله عليه وسلّم وما يُرِيهم من الرؤيا الصالحة وما يَسنَح لهم من المكاشفات، وبشرى الملائكة عند النزع. فِي الْآخِرَةِ بتلقي الملائكة إياهم مسلمين مبشَّرين بالفوز والكرامة بيان لتَوَلِّيه لهم. اهـ. A word on the gifts our most honored teacher, the Ahmad ibn Hanbal of our time, the complete Hadith master, the exegete of the Qur’an, the jurisprudent and legal theorist according to the Four Schools, the linguist, the mujtahid, the mujahid, the most dignified Sufi, the lover of silence, the man of simple living, the cheerful bestower of kindnesses on the poor and the weak, the one quick to weep and conceal his tears, the educator at whose hands graduated dozens of the memorizers of Hadith—men and women, the Chair of the Departments of the Qur’an and the Sunna in the two Universities of Damascus and Aleppo, among several other faculties and universities, the author of more than seventy seminal books and articles: DR. NUR AL-DIN B. MUHAMMAD B. HASAN B. MUHAMMAD `ITR AL-HALABI AL-DIMASHQI AL-HANAFI AL-HASANI AL-HUSAYNI of Prophetic lineage from both the paternal and maternal sides, who passed away at the age of 87. Allah Most High said, {Behold! Verily the friends of the One God, there is no fear over them, nor shall they grieve; those that believed and were ever guarding themselves, theirs is the good news in the present life and in the next—there is no substitution for the words of the One God; that is indeed the great triumph.} Yunus 10:62-64. Imam al-Baydawi–Allah have mercy on him–said: “{Behold! Verily the friends of the One God}: those that take Him as their protecting friend through obedience, and He takes them under His protecting friendship through karāma ⁽boundless generosity⁾. {In the present life}, namely, the glad tidings He gives the Godfearing in His Book and by the tongue of His Messenger, what He shows them of righteous dreams, and what He causes for them to appear of mukāshafāt ⁽unveilings⁾, and the good news of the angels at the time of agony. {And in the next}, by their reception by the angels, who greet them with greetings of peace and give them the glad tidings of victory and boundless generosity. It is the exposition of His taking them under His protecting friendship.”
