This training session, created in collaboration with the National Newcomer Council for Truth & Reconciliation (NNCTR), explores how newcomer-serving organizations can build solidarity with Indigenous peoples through relationship, critical reflection, and land-based learning. Facilitator Alix Reynolds guides participants through themes such as allyship vs. solidarity, settler responsibility, the role of the newcomer sector, and how Land Back informs reconciliation work. The session is supported by a full Resource & Discussion Guide, offering prompts, readings, and concrete actions for teams and organizations. This training is intended as a professional development tool for staff, volunteers, and partners across the newcomer sector.
