Protractor Grid References - much simpler method

Taking grid references using a protractor should be really simple but, for some strange reason, many “instructors” over-complicate it. In this video I’ll show the normal process and compare it to my method. Give both of them a try and see which you prefer. Of course most people don’t carry a protractor when out hiking over the hills, but I find that any supplementary knowledge is both interesting and, occasionally, useful. Remember, while a protractor can provide approximate bearings, for precise navigation, especially in outdoor activities like hiking or orienteering, it's essential to use a map and compass to ensure your route is safe.
