#SchwinnCruiser #vintage #Electroforged Schwinn Electro-forged cantilever frame Last week we disassembled this 1982 Chicago made Schwinn Cruiser and began cleaning the frame and components. We cleaned and greased the front wheel hub and bearings and reassembled the front hub. This week we began to put the bike back together. We cleaned the rear hub and freewheel, greased the bearings and reassembled the rear wheel. We greased the headset bearings and put the front fork on the bike. We cleaned the kickstand and put it back in the kickstand holder, which on Chicago - made Schwinns is welded onto the frame. We found it is easier to put the kickstand in its' holder before the crank is reinstalled. We hope this 40 year old bike will still be on the road 40 years from now.
