This is my journey to Santiago de Compostela, walking the so-called Camino Francés, from Saint-Jean Pied-de-Port to Santiago. After arriving at Santiago, I continued to Fisterra and finally bathed in the ocean. The total distance that I’ve covered is over 920 Km. It was a transformative journey where I’ve met many amazing people, and seen incredible landscapes. By interacting with pilgrims all over the world, I’ve learned about empathy and generosity. I think I’ve become a stronger and better person. I’ve left Paris on Apr 2, and starting to walk on Apr 3. It took me 35 days to arrive at Santiago, with one day rest in Burgos. After taking another day rest, I walked 5 days to Muxia and Fisterra. I’ve mostly walked alone, except a few days at the beginning and the last day arriving at Santiago, where I was with my friend Ambroise Finally I flew back to Paris, from Santiago airport My itinairy and accomodations are as below: Day 0: SJPdP / gites de la porte saint jacques Day 1: Huntto / ferme Ithurburia Day 2: Roncesvalles / albergue de peregrinos Day 3: Zubiri / albergue Seseia Day 4: pampelune / Grand Hotel la Perla Day 5: punte la Reina / Albergue Estrella Guia Day 6: Estella / agora hostel Day 7 : Los Arcos / Pension Los Arcos Day 8 : Logroño / Pension Laurel Day 9: Najera / El Perigruno Nejerino Day 10: Santo Domingo de la Calzada / Parador Day 11: Belorado / Taberne Espinosa Day 12: San Juan de Ortega / La cuadra de Luisito Day 13: Burgos / Hotel Cordon Day 14: Rest day / Hotel Cordon Day 15: Hornilos de Camino / La Casa del Abuelo Day 16: Castrojeriz / La Rinconada Hostel Day 17: Boadialla del Camino / En el Camino Day 18: Carrion de Los Condes / Hostal Albe Day 19: Terradillos de los templarios / Los Templarios Pilgrim hostal Day 20: Bercianos de Real Camino / La perala Day 21: Reliegos / La Parada pilgrim hostel Day 22: Leon / ARVA spa Paris Day 23: Villadangros de Páramo / Hostal Alto Day 24: Astorga / MyWay Pilgrim Hostel Day 25: Foncébadon / Monte Irago Day 26: Ponferrada / Albergue Guiana Day 27: Trabadelo / camino y Leyenda Day 28: O’cebreiro / Casa Campelo Day 29: 1-may: Triacastela / Complexo Xacobeo Day 30: 2-may: Sarria / Puente Ribeira Day 31: 3-may: Portomarin / Huellas Albergue Day 32: 4-may: Palas de Rei / Zendoira Day 33: 5-may: Arzua / Albergue Altreia Day 34: 6-may: Lavacolla / Albergue a Fabrica Day 35: 7-may: Santiago / Parador Day 36: 8-may: Rest day / Hostal Mafer Day 37: 9-may: Negreira / Coton Hostel Day 38: 10-may: Olveiroa / Casa Manola Day 39: 11-may: Muxia / Albergue Arribada Day 40: 12-May: Santo Estevo do Lires / Albergue As Eiras Day 41: 13-may: Fisterra / Bela Fistera I’ve also included my 6 Camino rules in the video: Always say hello when passing someone Let the Camino decide who you’ll meet Clean mind, clean body, clean equipment Rest, drink and eat even before you really need it.
