Someshwara Beach: Located in Ullal in the city of Mangalore, Someshwara Beach is a hidden gem of the city. Boasting of shimmering golden sands, a long and beautiful coastline, the beach is also peppered with rock boulders called Rudra Shile, making it unique from its other counterparts in the city.Someshwara Beach also houses the Someshwara Temple, dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva New Tajmahal Cafe: This cafe has been in Mangalore for quite a few years now, and has left an impression on every local of the city. The locals vouch for its services and the quality and taste of the food served here.Some of these must-try dishes are the tuppa dosa, teekh roti and banana halwa. Apart from these, the filter coffee offered at New Taj Mahal Cafe is one of the best in Mangalore City, and you should definitely give it a try. Sultan Battery: Tipu Sultan constructed this watchtower to keep a lookout for the entry of warships into the Gurpur River. This is a popular tourist spot as you get beautiful views when on the battery. This is also a boating point to get to Thannirbhavi Beach. Tannirbhavi Beach: Tannirbhavi Beach is one of the popular beaches in the city. The coastline with golden sand and cool, fresh air is rejuvenating, and people are drawn to the natural beauty of the location.
